What do you think of when you read the term, GPS?
Many of you probably think of Global Positioning Satellite Systems? Right?
We often have so many choices to make, and often times, we are unsure of which direction to take.
You see His Holy Spirit is your guide, and you are the receiver just as your cell phone, or your car, is a recipient of signals from satellites.
Sometimes, we just need to sit at the feet of the father, and be still and know that He is God so we can receive His GPS (Guidance, Protection, and Safety).
He created the whole universe, He created the earth, and if he can keep all of it working, you can rest assured, that He can do the same for you.
Did you know that God has planted a GPS System in His Word to help you through life’s trials and tribulations?
God’s Guidance, Protection, and Safety System is promised in His Word (Bible).
Guidance.
Is. 58:11. “The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.”
Prv. 24:6 You will be like a well-watered garden, whose springs never fail.” “For waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisors.”
Prv. 11: 3, 7,11. “The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. When a wicked man dies, his hope perishes; all he expected from his power comes to nothing. Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.”
Jn. 16:13. “However, when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth; He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.
War is sometimes necessary. God will guide you through all of it. God’s Word is full of stories of war since the beginning of time. God always delivers His people and good always overcomes evil.
Protection.
Ps. 32:7. “You are my hiding place, You will protect me from trouble, and surround me with songs of deliverance.”
Ps. 140. 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11-13. “Rescue me, O Lord, from evil men; protect me from men of violence, who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day.” Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet.” “Proud men have hidden a snare for me; they have spread out the cords of their net and have set traps for me along my path.” “O Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle-do not grant the wicked their desire, O Lord; do not let their plans succeed, or they will become proud.” Let slanderers not be established in the land; may disaster hunt down men of violence.” Know that the Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.” “Surely the righteous will praise your name and the upright will live before you.”
2 Thes. 3:3. “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
These above verses are especially important, as many of you are dealing with the snares of the enemies with their roadside bombs and devices. You are encouraged to memorize these verses and pray them when you travel.
Safety.
Ps. 4:8. “ I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
Ps. 27. 5-6. “For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling, He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at His tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord.”
Prv. 29:25. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” Prv. 18:10. “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”
Heb. 6:19. “We have this Hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.”
2 Pet. 3:17. “Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.”
Remember that God loves you, and He will keep you safe. Pray that He will send His Holy Spirit and legions of His angels to protect you and guide you.
